Tristan Harris | Humane Technology
Tristan Harris was a Google ethical designer for three years, developing an ethical framework for the company’s platform. He is now co-founder of the Center for Humane Technology, whose mission is to realign technology with humanity. He graduated from Stanford University with a degree in computer science, majoring in how people interact with computers.
In this talk, Tristan Harris will reveil the power that platforms such as Google, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube have to influence us, to the point of changing our opinions and behaviour. Social media are increasingly in the crosshairs of governments, regulators and society, and we should not stand on the sidelines. The greater our understanding of the social ecosystem, the better we will be able to use the services that networks offer us to our advantage.
